Downtown was a crowded place on Sunday, thanks in part to the Fringe Festival (last day), Blues Bash, and the Labour Day long weekend.
After watching a Fringe show (Fall Fair - very worthwhile), we went looking for a late lunch. Cabin 12 on Pandora was our first stop. It was packed. Maybe a one-hour wait, a polite and apologetic woman told us.Ìý

After admiring the new open-air urinal near Cabin 12 (it's worth a visit — using it is a little like doing a piece of performance art) we wandered over to Ferris's Oyster Bar and Grill on Yates, where a slightly harried-looking waiter told us that they had run out of brunch items because it was unusually busy and there was a wait of at least 20 minutes.

We talked briefly about driving out of downtown to find a bite, but decided to peek in on Swans on Pandora. Things were a little quieter and we were able to get a table. Our first table turned out to be a target for raindrops (it was drizzling outside). So, we shifted tables, got our menus, and finally got a meal. (Details about that meal are coming up in a post later this week.)
