There was a modest selection of food tents at the Dragon Boat Festival on the weekend. The place was packed, and anyone who bought food had to do a balancing act, especially if they also bought a drink. Getting a chair was tough, getting a chair and table was tougher.听
Longest line was for the grilled hotdogs, which were modestly priced. Chopped onions were offered at no extra cost.
The Naanwich booth was also busy. They had a machine that helped them make fresh naan bread. A dough ball was placed on a moving belt, went into a compartment where it was flattened and then into an oven.

Also on offer: Vietnamese and Chinese fare, Smokin' Bones Cookshack's noodles with barbecued meat, and dishes from the catering firm Ambrosia.
The ice cream stand, run by Island Farms, was very popular. Plenty of folks wandered the site with ice cream cones in hand. Maybe because of the hot day and a desire to avoid ice cream topples, most people seemed to pick the one-scoop option.
Just off the Dragon Boat Festival site, the Red Fish Blue Fish fish-and-chip stand had long lineups.
