Island Joy Rides is offering a new spin on culinary tourism with its Chef on a Bike series this summer.

The Vancouver Island cycling tour company is offering three unique culinary cycling day tours in the Comox Valley: Route Beer (with Chef Aaron from White Whale Restaurant in Courtenay); Forage & Feast (with Chef Ronald from Locals Restaurant in Courtenay and Metis elder and forager Dianne McLean); and Vegan and Vino (with Miriam St. Pierre from Locals and Beaufort Winery in Courtenay).聽

The Root Beer is June 23, Forage and Feast is July 14 and Vegan and Vino is Aug. 11.

All three tours connect people to the Comox Valley鈥檚 local food scene through tastings and a chance to engage with local food producers. They all culminate in a four-course meal combining much of what was highlighted on the tour.聽

Tickets are $129 per person and can be purchased online at islandjoyrides.com. There is a 10 per cent discount for tours booked before Mother鈥檚 Day, May 13.
