Dog or cat hair clogging your carpets? Learn how to spin it into yarn at Fibrations, a communitybased celebration of fibre artists in the orchard of St. Ann's Academy on Sunday. That's just one of the demonstrations on offer at the event showcasing fibre arts from spinning to weaving, felting, crocheting and knitting.
Other demonstrations include willow, rep and finger weaving, nuno and needle felting, and Amigurini crochet, rug hooking, silk fusion and making designer yarn.
Members of the Victoria Handweavers and Spinners Guild will be on hand to answer questions, and you can shop for fibrearts supplies, arts and crafts and food. Admission is free. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at 835 Humboldt St.
