The race to be Cherry Creek’s area director on the Alberni Valley Regional District board was so close, the sa国际传媒 Supreme Court has been asked to decide the result.
Mike Sparrow was declared the winner with 194 votes, only four votes ahead of Darren Deluca.
Sparrow will serve as area F director until the court’s result is announced.
“When the results of an election are this close, it’s not uncommon to request a court declaration regarding the results,” said regional district chief administrative officer Daniel Sailland.
