Downtown Victoria UPCC closed to in-person appointments on Tuesday

The closure is the result of a planned power outage while sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Hydro upgrades the centre’s electrical system

The Downtown Victoria Urgent and Primary Care Centre on Pandora Avenue will be closed to in-person visits on Tuesday due to a planned power outage.

Virtual-care appointments will not be affected.

The Downtown Victoria UPCC at 1107 Pandora Ave. is expected to be without power from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. as BC Hydro upgrades the centre’s electrical system.

Island Health advises patients to call 1-833-688-8722 about booking an appointment at another Victoria-area UPCC, such as those in James Bay, Gorge, Esquimalt, North Quadra and West Shore sites.

Downtown Victoria UPCC clinical staff will work out of other UPCC sites Tuesday.

The Downtown Victoria UPCC is set to resume normal in-person care on Wednesday.
