After taking 10 allegedly impaired drivers off the road on Friday and Saturday nights, Saanich police found another one Sunday night travelling at 123 kilometres an hour in a 50 km/h zone in the 3900-block of Quadra Street.
The driver was pulled over about 11 p.m. and issued a ticket for excessive speeding before failing a roadside-screening test.
A 90-day licence suspension was issued and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
Excessive-speeding penalties — including a $368 fine — kick in when a vehicle is driven at more than 40 km/h over the speed limit.
The fine increases to $483 at 60 km/h over the speed limit.
Police said six of the allegedly impaired drivers were found Friday and four on Saturday.
All had their licences suspended, and most had their vehicles impounded, as well.
