One of the drivers involved in a four-vehicle collision Tuesday night had a blood-alcohol reading more than three times the legal limit of .08, Saanich police say.
Police said they received reports about 9:30 p.m. about a rear-end collision involving multiple vehicles at the intersection of Cook and Quadra streets.
A 40-year-old Victoria man was taken into custody for blood-alcohol breath testing after showing signs of impairment, police said.
He was given a 90-day driving prohibition and has been released with a court date.
No one sustained serious injuries in the crash, but one of the other drivers was taken to hospital for assessment.
The intersection was closed until just before 5 a.m. Wednesday as police collision analysts investigated.
