Five Victorians earn Order of Military Merit awards

Navy Capt. Peter Scott Robinson of Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt was appointed to the Order of Military Merit as an officer in a recent ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.

Robinson was one of 73 members invested with the order by Gov.-Gen Mary Simon, commander-in-chief of sa国际传媒’s armed forces.

The Order of Military Merit recognizes distinctive merit and exceptional service and was created in 1972.

Four other Victorians received the Order of Merit as members:

Chief Petty Officer 2nd Class Ian Leslie Biller, Naval Tactical Operations Group

Chief Petty Officer 1st Class Steven Joseph Wist, Naval Training Development Centre (Pacific)

Master Warrant Officer Drew Russell Scott, Real Property Operations Unit (Pacific)

Ranger Jean Julienne Tsannie, 4th Canadian Ranger Patrol Group
