Jeremy Vail has hung a well-known print by street artist Banksy on a tree near the entrance of Royal Jubilee Hospital as a way of thanking hospital staff for all their work during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Vail, the organizer behind the annual Capital City Toy Run, used an embellished copy of Banksy鈥檚 Balloon Girl to serve as a thank-you card to all the workers 鈥 janitors, maintenance workers, those in the food services, nurses, doctors, ambulance drivers, paramedics and helicopter pilots.

鈥淚t鈥檚 to all of them who give us a glimmer of hope during this dark time,鈥 Vail said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 for their tireless work during these unprecedented times.鈥

The print is also a small token of appreciation for the care he received after shattering his left elbow in a motorcycle crash four years ago.
