A driver has lost his licence for 90 days after veering off the road and smashing into a fence in a residential neighbourhood in Langford on Sunday night.

West Shore RCMP and the Langford Fire Department responded to the incident in the 2500 block of Selwyn Road at 9:45 p.m.

Officers found a 1993 BMW 320i with its front end crashed into a fence. The driver, a 40-year-old male, was the only occupant.

Witnesses told police the driver had slurred speech and was possibly impaired.

The driver provided police breath samples and failed a screening test, said police.

He was issued a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition and his vehicle has been impounded for 30 days.

“Remarkably, no one was injured in this collision,” said RCMP.
