Oak Bay police arrested a woman inside a home in the 2000-block of Lansdowne Road last week after an alarm was set off about 11 p.m.

Police determined that she got inside the home, which was unoccupied at the time, by using a rock to break a basement window, and then tried to disable the alarm system by cutting some wires.

Leslie Lampman, 49, has been charged with breaking-and-entering and mischief in connection with the Oct. 24 incident.

She was released after a bail hearing and is scheduled for a Nov. 4 court appearance
