Saanich police arrested a man who assaulted his girlfriend after several neighbours called to report a woman screaming Saturday night.
Neighbours in the 900-block of McKenzie Avenue called police around 11 p.m. and officers arrived to find a woman with cuts and bruises on her face. They arrested the man, who is in his mid-20s.
Saanich police said there is a history of violence in the relationship.
