A sa国际传媒 Ferries vessel rescued some sea kayakers in distress yesterday afternoon off Swartz Bay. Spokeswoman Deborah Marshall said the Mayne Queen was returning to Swartz Bay from the southern Gulf Islands when it launched a rescue boat to the two kayaks. The occupants were transferred to the coast guard vessel the Cape Kuper.
The rescue delayed the sailing by about 45 minutes, Marshall said.
