The storm that swept across the southern Island on Tuesday evening took out power for thousands of sa国际传媒 Hydro customers — including the press in Ladysmith where the sa国际传媒 is printed.
We hate missing an edition, but sometimes, there is no other choice.
If the power had come back on at our normal press time, we would have been three or four hours late. That would have resulted in cascading problems with deliveries.

We realize that many readers prefer the printed newspaper. This is, after all, one of the strongest markets for printed newspapers in sa国际传媒.
Let’s hope that things get back to normal quickly. And let’s hope we don’t have another storm like we had overnight.
