A pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the Trans-sa国际传媒 Highway at Trunk Road on Tuesday, police say.
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP said the pedestrian attempted to run through the crosswalk at the intersection at about 10 p.m. and was struck by a southbound Honda Civic.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and members of the Duncan Fire Department.
Police are continuing to collect evidence and are asking anyone with information about the incident or dashcam footage to contact them.

In April, a woman died after being struck on the Trans-sa国际传媒 Highway near Green Road, just north of Duncan.
