It’s a tea party that has a parade, a midway and a mayor in a teacup. The Oak Bay Tea Party at Willows Park and Willows Beach started on Friday and continues today, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. A highlight on Saturday was the Tea Party Parade.
Today, there’s a skydiving show at 2 p.m. and at 3 p.m. the Mayor’s Floating Teacup Race. Tea party enthusiasts stocked up on baron-of-beef sandwiches adorned with horseradish, mustard and relish. The sandwiches have become the Tea Party’s signature food, often accompanied by corn slathered in butter.
