Port Alberni liquor store robbed at knife-point

More than $200 worth of liquor was stolen, and one of the intruders brandished a knife when confronted by an employee.

Port Alberni RCMP are asking for public assistance in identifying three suspects in a knife-point robbery Sunday night at a liquor store.

Police officers responded to a 911 call from the store about 10:30 p.m. after three people wearing face coverings and black clothing and carrying duffel bags carried out the robbery.

More than $200 worth of liquor was stolen, with one of the intruders brandishing a knife when confronted by an employee.

The suspects fled on foot.

Forensic officers RCMP conducted an examination and seized evidence, and RCMP released a surveillance photograph of the thieves.

Police ask anyone with information on the robbery to call Port Alberni RCMP at 250-723-2424.
