A man driving an electric scooter rammed his vehicle into the legs of a man getting out of his car last week in an apparent case of road rage.

The driver suffered cuts and had his shin scraped, said deputy chief John Ducker in his Victoria Police Department blog.

The incident occurred at 2:10 p.m. Friday at the corner of View and Quadra streets. The motorist had just made a right-hand turn as the scooter operator was entering the crosswalk.

"The scooter operator apparently took great exception to the near miss and followed the [motorist] further down the street to where he was parking his car," Ducker said.

When the man got out of the car, the scooter operator rammed his machine into the driver's shins, drawing blood.

Victoria police investigated and determined the motorist had made a safe right-hand turn. No charges were laid.
