Oceanside RCMP and Arrowmsith Search and Rescue are looking for a 29-year-old man who walked into a wooded area near Horne Lake on Tuesday evening and hasn’t been seen since.
RCMP said Jordan Kirchner was last seen by a friend about 6 p.m. Aug. 27, 2024, on Horne Lake Road between the Inland Island Highway and Horne Lake, which is north of Cathedral Grove and west of Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island.
The friend was concerned about Kirchner’s health and well-being, police said.
Despite efforts, police and searchers have been unable to locate the man and are asking the public’s help.
Kirchner is described as five-foot-11 and about 165 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
He is not considered to be a risk to the public.
Police ask anyone with information on Kirchner’s whereabouts to contact Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111.
