Sooke firefighters kept a garage fire from spreading to an adjacent residence on Saturday after being quickly alerted by residents of the home.
Sooke Fire Rescue was called about 7:55 a.m. to a property on Sooke River Road, with mutual-aid partners from Otter Point, Metchosin and East Sooke also responding.
A small unit attached to the garage was damaged, as well.
No one was injured.
The fire appears to have been caused by an electrical malfunction. The Office of the Fire Commissioner has been notified is expected to provide further assessment.
