A stolen vehicle seen being driven on Douglas Street missing a wheel on Tuesday has been recovered.
Victoria police received a report from owners of a stolen vehicle saying they had seen it being driven downtown.
Officers found the vehicle and got behind it but the driver ran a red light and officers did not pursue it, VicPD spokesperson Cheryl Major said.
Officers found the vehicle stationary shortly after and used a manoeuvre to try to prevent the vehicle from moving, which disabled a police car and removed a tire from the stolen vehicle.
A driver fled the scene on three wheels.
No one was injured and the vehicle has since been recovered.
Police continue to investigate.
