Witnesses sought after two pedestrians struck in Duncan hit-and-run

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are investigating after a Saturday night hit-and-run in which two pedestrians were struck and suffered minor injuries.

Police responded about 9 p.m. to the scene on Lewis Street near the intersection with York Road, in the vicinity of the Cowichan Aquatic Centre.

They said they were contacted immediately by a driver who is co-operating as investigators work to determine the cause of the incident.

Paramedics treated the victims at the scene.

Police said the driver who came forward has a red Jeep, and they are hoping to hear from more witnesses and anyone with dashcam video of what happened.
