A 29-year-old woman is facing charges after being found unconscious in the driver’s seat of a stolen vehicle by West Shore RCMP.
Police responded to a report of an unconscious woman in a car parked near the 2800-block of West Shore Parkway in Langford about 3:10 p.m Tuesday.
They spotted drug paraphernalia inside the car — a 2001 Toyota Corolla reported stolen from Victoria on May 4.
The woman was awakened by officers and arrested for possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of stolen property, since both the car and licence plate were determined to have been stolen.
She was also handed violation tickets for having no driver’s licence and no insurance, and a 24-hour driving prohibition for exhibiting signs of drug impairment while in the care and control of a vehicle.
She was later released from custody with a notice to appear in court.
