A 63-year-old driver has died following a two-vehicle collision on the highway to Sooke on Thursday afternoon.
RCMP said the woman died at the scene in the 500-block of Sooke Road between Manzer and Gillespie roads.
Police determined the woman, who was driving a Acura 1.6E westbound on Highway 14, collided with an eastbound truck at a sharp bend in the road.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
An RCMP traffic analyst attended the scene to do a thorough examination and collect evidence to determine what led to the collision, said police.
The crash happened at about 3:50 p.m. during rush hour and caused traffic delays until about 9 p.m.
Two ambulances were sent to the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
