Paving and other improvements begin Monday on Shawnigan Lake Road from West Shawnigan Lake Road north to Verlon Road.
Work on the 3.5-kilometre stretch will include regrading and widening, and the addition of both gravel and paved shoulders.
Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, with the project expected to be complete in mid-October.
During the daily construction period, there will be access for local vehicles only. Other traffic will be rerouted through West Shawnigan Lake Road.
Motorists can expect delays of up to 30 minutes while construction is underway, and are encouraged to use alternative routes when possible.
