OTTAWA — sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½'s annual inflation rate was 2.8 per cent in June, Statistics sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ says. The agency also released rates for major cities, but cautioned that figures may have fluctuated widely because they are based on small statistical samples (previous month in brackets):
— St. John's, N.L.:  2.2 per cent (2.2)
— Charlottetown-Summerside: 0.2 per cent (0.7)
— Halifax: 2.3 per cent (2.4)
— Saint John, N.B.: 2.4 per cent (2.7)
— Quebec City: 4.2 per cent (4.6)
— Montreal: 4.6 per cent (5.1)
— Ottawa: 3.2 per cent (3.5)
— Toronto: 3.1 per cent (3.5)
— Thunder Bay, Ont.: 3.4 per cent (4.6)
— Winnipeg: 2.3 per cent (3.7)
— Regina: 3.5 per cent (4.4)
— Saskatoon: 3.9 per cent (5.2)
— Edmonton: 1.4 per cent (2.8)
— Calgary: 2.0 per cent (3.5)
— Vancouver: 4.0 per cent (3.6)
— Victoria: 2.9 per cent (2.9)
— Whitehorse: 4.8 per cent (4.7)
— Yellowknife: 2.5 per cent (3.0)
