On Monday afternoon, inspectors went down to Calgary鈥檚 flooded Mission neighbourhood.
They shut down Original Joe鈥檚 and Mission Perk, two businesses that were staging a barbecue and providing free coffee for firefighters and other emergency workers.
Apparently, the fact the businesses didn鈥檛 have a proper canopy over the barbecue was a violation of health regulations.
Nenshi says he understands health issues need to be taken seriously and doesn鈥檛 want anyone getting a gastro illness.
But he says there should be some leeway in this situation.
