OTTAWA 鈥 sa国际传媒鈥檚 foreign affairs minister is travelling to Europe for meetings to address the response to Russia鈥檚 invasion of Ukraine.
M茅lanie Joly announced Saturday that she will visit Finland, Germany and Belgium.
Joly is to meet with her Finnish counterpart Pekka Haavisto in Helsinki, where she says they will work to strengthen the sa国际传媒-Finland bilateral relationship.
The pair is also to discuss ways to coordinate efforts on Arctic issues and to further support Ukraine.
While in Berlin, Germany Joly will attend the conference of the Moldova Support Platform where discussions will focus on assistance to Ukrainian refugees forced into that country as a result of the Russian invasion.
In Brussels, Belgium the minister will attend G7 and NATO foreign ministers鈥 meetings, where discussions will examine continued coordination to enhance regional security in Eastern Europe.
鈥淭he war in Ukraine affects us all, and we must work together with the international community to respond to Vladimir Putin鈥檚 egregious acts,鈥 Joly said in a news release. 鈥淯kraine鈥檚 security isn鈥檛 just important for Ukraine, but for the world.鈥
On March 8, sa国际传媒 announced the renewal of its multi-year commitment to Operation Reassurance, the Canadian Armed Forces support to NATO鈥檚 assurance and deterrence measures in Central and Eastern Europe.
