Museum T-shirts questioned

Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger says he is disappointed to learn Winnipeg's new human rights museum is selling souvenirs made in countries with questionable records on human rights.

Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger says he is disappointed to learn Winnipeg's new human rights museum is selling souvenirs made in countries with questionable records on human rights.

A Global News report said T-shirts sporting the image of the $351-million Museum for Human Rights are being sold at the museum's kiosk.

The network says one of the shirts was produced in Vietnam, where it is illegal for workers to join independent unions, and another was made in Honduras, a country where Amnesty International says human-rights defenders are routinely attacked.

Museum officials are reviewing the issue.
