About 1,700 people who stayed in tent cabins at Yosemite National Park this summer were warned Tuesday they might have been exposed to a deadly rodent-borne virus blamed for the deaths of two campers.

The Yosemite National Park email alerts warned of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, which can be carried in the urine, saliva and feces of infected deer mice. Two deaths have been reported so far.
