The Canadian Football Hall of Fame will induct the 2020 and '21 classes together June 17.

The 13 newest members will formally be inducted the night before the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Calgary Stampeders kick off the 2022 CFL regular season, the Hall of Fame announced Thursday.

The Hall of Fame hasn't held induction ceremonies the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We're thrilled to once again open the doors of the Hall of Fame to welcome these legends to their rightful place among their peers," Greg Dick, interim CFHOF executive director, said in a statement. "These gentlemen have been instrumental in shaping the history of Canadian football, and it’s a true honour to gather with them to mark this special occasion.

"Given the two classes’ significant ties to the Hamilton and Calgary communities, we felt the Tiger-Cats’ home opener against the Stampeders would make for an unforgettable weekend of celebration. Having these giants of our game join us at halftime of the home opener will be the perfect way to kick off the 2022 season at Tim Hortons Field."

The 2020 class consists of offensive linemen Clyde Brock and Freddie Childress and quarterbacks Henry Burris and Greg Vavra in the players class. Calgary president/GM John Hufnagel, and former Saint Mary’s University coach/AD Larry Uteck (posthumously) will go in as builders.

The '21 class members include defensive linemen Will Johnson and Mike Walker, receiver Nik Lewis and defensive backs Orlondo Steinauer and Don Wilson as players. Former Montreal head coach Marv Levy and former CFL commissioner Doug Mitchell will be inducted as builders.

The 2022 class will be announced in April, with the induction ceremony slated for Sept. 16.
