NEW YORK — Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane, Calgary Flames goaltender Jacob Markstrom and New York Islanders left-winger Anders Lee were named the NHL's threes stars of the week Monday.
Kane, a former Hart Memorial Trophy winner, had a goal and nine assists to help the Blackhawks to two wins.
Last week, the 33-year-old recorded the first six-point performance by a Chicago player since Bernie Nicholls in 1995. He assisted on five goals while also scoring in an 8-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks on March 8.
Markstrom was 3-0-0 and sported a stingy 0.67 goal-against average with a .974 save percentage. He registered his league-leading ninth shutout in a 3-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday.
Lee scored seven goals in four games. He recorded his first career hat trick in a 6-0 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday and had goals in all of the Islanders' games last week.
