My husband and I went to the advance polling station at Saanich Commonwealth Place on Monday, Oct. 15. Not only was the parking lot full of cars circling to find a spot, but the lineup inside to vote was enormous.
It was long enough that we, along with several people who arrived at the same time, turned around and left without voting.
If politicians complain about lack of voter turnout, perhaps they should consider providing more or better-staffed polling stations. Our time is valuable, too.
