Re: 鈥淭rudeau鈥檚 mistakes are making him a growing liability,鈥 column, April聽7.
While I agree with the headline, I find Lawrie McFarlane鈥檚 column filled with recycled claims that I hear from the CBC鈥檚 political pundits. In an attempt to be impartial, the CBC has the usual crop of Conservative, NDP and Liberal pundits serving up their opinions with their party biases to gain political points.
McFarlane calls the improper phone call Jody Wilson-Raybould made a 鈥渉ammer blow鈥 because it 鈥渂acked up everything she claimed.鈥
I would not call it a true conversation, but rather a manipulative device to control the result of the conversation. To me, it is an example of 鈥渢he end justifying the means,鈥 chillingly Orwellian.
Finally, I do agree with McFarlane when he says the Liberal hierarchy might wonder about the cost of keeping Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on. Not that the alternatives, Andrew Scheer and Jagmeet Singh, look capable of leading the country. I might have to look for another leader.
