It was nice to see the letter-writer say that she would be happy to pay twice as much for gasoline to fight global warming. There is nothing stopping her or anybody of a like mind from doing so. She can make an ex-gratia payment of an equal amount to the government or to a green organization or to any charity, and even get a tax receipt in some circumstances.
The sa国际传媒 could have a 鈥淗eroes鈥� page for naming people who submit a gas receipt and a contribution receipt as proof. A win-win situation.
