A woman in the produce section of a popular grocery store said to me that she could barely manage to buy produce, as the prices keep going up. Her husband had died and she was a pensioner. In her cart were some lettuce and two carrots.

It made me realize there must be others in a similar situation. What can be done for these people? Are they being overlooked?

Is there a type of store where the prices could be lower, such as ones where the produce (and other food) was left in the boxes it came in and not put on the shelves? At any rate, it is an issue that should be addressed.
