Canadian society is committing a serious crime, like parents who give their children matches to play at lighting fires in the basement of their family home. The parents know their children do not understand that their pleasure could burn down their family home and incinerate themselves and their family.
All credible scientists, the United Nations, our eyes and our own common sense are telling us that our continued burning of fossil fuel will destroy all life on Earth. All decent, honest, civilized people must use our intelligence to recognize the evil that we are doing, to organize and stop the burning of fossil fuel, and as soon as possible put millions of people to work building a new economy powered by harnessing the renewable, natural, free energy of the sun, the wind, the oceans and the geothermal energy of the Earth.
We can do this. We all have to start right now by stopping a small number of wealthy powerful people and their multinational corporations from making billions of dollars from the mining, fracking, piping, shipping and burning of fossil fuels around the world, none of which will be needed when we transition to a renewable-powered economy.
We have to make this transition now before global warming and devastating climate change becomes unstoppable and destroys all life on Earth.
