Re: 鈥淲e have to hear both sides of legislature accusations,鈥 editorial, Jan. 23.
I understand that it is not criminal for me overspend my budget. However, when the end of the month comes, I聽need to decide how I (not someone else) am going to settle this excess deficit. I have no contingency fund, no trough, no sugar daddy to whom I can appeal.
When we the people elect politicians, most of us want to believe that our elected representatives are going to act in manners that are beneficial to our welfare and the welfare of our society.
As I look at the past 10 years of sa国际传媒 government (Google sa国际传媒 political scandals) I must say that we have paid out a lot of money on overspending or irregular costs. Many of these have ended up in court.
If my daily newspaper believes these activities are not criminal, where then should I turn? My dear old mum would have said: 鈥淕od help us.鈥
