The headline on the front page noted that sa国际传媒 leads the country in the percentage of medically assisted deaths performed annually. As a long-retired physician, I presume that Doctors of sa国际传媒 has negotiated a fee with the Medical Services Plan for the doctors willing to provide this service to those requesting and approved to receive it, thus adding to the total cost of all services.
In the same paper, it was interesting to note that sa国际传媒 also leads sa国际传媒 in both the number of opioid-related deaths and in the number of antidote kits provided to physicians, first responders and individuals who request them.
The province also spends a fortune on a variety of 鈥渉arm reduction鈥� activities including safe-injection sites plus other personnel, all increasing total health-care costs, which escalate annually.
Am I alone in noting that the taxes we all pay in various ways are, on the one hand, funding the services enabling those who wish to leave this world to do so, while, on the other hand, funding other services for those who, we presume, wish to rejoin it, sometimes more than once? Treadmill anyone?
