Establishing sa国际传媒鈥檚 National Maritime Museum in Victoria makes wonderful sense. A quarter-century before Confederation, almost as long before the shacks of Gastown rose along the Fraser River and 14 years before Ottawa was chosen as our nation鈥檚 capital, Victoria was a bustling Pacific seaport.
Honouring the city鈥檚 long maritime history by establishing sa国际传媒鈥檚 National Maritime Museum here would serve as the logical completion of the brilliant necklace of our national memory that, as of now, sadly spans the country west only as far as Winnipeg.
