I, like many others, live north of Leigh Road and travel the Trans-sa国际传媒 Highway home.
On Tuesday, there was an accident near Leigh Road on the Trans-sa国际传媒, and traffic was diverted through Langford and back to the Trans-sa国际传媒 at West Shore Parkway. A slight inconvenience, but nothing to whine about.
The Ministry of Transportation and Highways is contemplating a Malahat backup road for times when accidents happen north of West Shore Parkway. But, of course, Victoria Coun. Ben Isitt, who is not affected by any such disruptions on the Trans-sa国际传媒, without seeing any plans, wants everyone and their dog to oppose such an undertaking.
Isitt has many alternative routes home when there are accidents, but we do not. His alternative routes have never been subjected to any environmental evaluations, but he wants environmental organizations to oppose our potential route.
It must be nice to be able to be so correct all the time at other people鈥檚 expense.
