鈥淔or it is now up to proponents of first-past-the-post to show that governments elected on this basis can achieve consensus and speak for all British Columbians,鈥 the editorial argues.
Yet one of the great features of the current electoral system, as it has proven over and over again, is that its large-tent evolution is a far better way to achieve 鈥渃onsensus鈥 on both main sides than one driven by the left, the far left and the wingnut left.
And the first guy who says: 鈥淏ut we just didn鈥檛 ask the right question鈥 should be put on the next bus to Belgium.
