My dad, Dave Grant, started his pressman apprenticeship with the Daily Colonist in 1938 when he was 17 and when he retired he was still working as a journeyman pressman for the paper. I know he would be dismayed that it鈥檚 now being printed in Ladysmith, but I know that times change and things move on.

I鈥檝e read this newspaper every day for as long as I can remember. I鈥檓 one of the generation that still likes to read 鈥渋n print,鈥 rather than on a screen. I鈥檓 glad that this change will mean that the paper will be able to keep printing (and that my delivery person is still willing to get up early enough to get it to me before 7聽a.m.).

Keep up the good work!
