I applaud many of the goals of the Board Voice Society of sa国际传媒 Who could argue with such a mission: "To improve parenting skills, help with job searches, and to provide supports for children to overcome challenges."
But the goal of having all children "ready for school" needs to be examined. What does ready mean? Are we talking about sameness and the erasing of individuality?
I will never support the expenditure of money on any program intended to address this very sad idea that a four-or five-year-old is behind. Behind what?
In such an enlightened society, is it unreasonable to expect the school system to be ready for the child, rather than the child arriving ready for the system. What has happened to the concept of individualized learning?
