The editorial makes good sense. The building in Bastion Square is not on the water, and it is an inappropriate location.
On the East Coast, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic is on the Halifax waterfront. The building is beautifully designed and has many fascinating exhibits. As well, historic boats are moored at the adjacent docks, including the famous Bluenose II from time to time.
In light of the outstanding museum in Halifax, it would be pretentious for the Maritime Museum of sa国际传媒 to consider itself sa国际传媒鈥檚 national maritime museum. It鈥檚 time for the board of the sa国际传媒 museum to secure a suitable site fronting Pacific Ocean water.
