On Christmas Eve at St. Andrew鈥檚 Presbyterian Church, on Douglas Street, we had the pleasure of the U.S. hockey team and family members attending the evening service.
The team called ahead to see if we would have room. We made sure there was 鈥渞oom at the inn.鈥� The congregation brought tins of Christmas baking for the players to take back to their hotel rooms.
We didn鈥檛 know if these young stars were on a special pre-game diet, but decided they were teenagers and they eat everything. These boys were away from home on Christmas and we were delighted to have them at St. Andrew鈥檚.
