You knew it had to come (and that鈥檚 a good thing), so here it is. 鈥淭he Kiss鈥� photo, which has been lauded for almost three-quarters of a century as capturing the joy of V-J Day, is, in fact, material evidence of 鈥� let鈥檚 call it what it was 鈥� sexual harassment. The (literal) intoxication of the moment, viewed for so long as providing licence to a man to grab and assault any woman within reach, is no longer something that should be silently condoned.
