Re: 鈥渟a国际传媒 to limit 鈥榚xperts鈥 in auto-injury claims,鈥 Feb. 12.
Where is the neutrality of our attorney general when it comes to the administration of justice in British Columbia? Apparently, he fears more for the finances of ICBC than he wishes the injured taxpayers to be fairly compensated.
By implication, he suggests that experts are not necessary, while refusing to acknowledge that the only reason such experts give evidence is the seriousness of the injuries. His ministry dismisses the idea that ICBC regularly 鈥渓owballs鈥 accident victims鈥 settlements when those of us on the frontlines know that to be oh so true.
How much investigation did he do of the people鈥檚 reasonable expectations, or was he merely influenced by ICBC or some jaundiced personal view of his own.
So, David Eby, where is the fairness in what you propose? Are you in reality in breach of your duty to administer the law fairly and even-handedly rather than being a shill for someone鈥檚 incompetent management of auto insurance premiums?
