Everyone knows someone who has been in a bad relationship too long. It鈥檚 clear to us something is amiss: power imbalance, control or betrayal. The person is stuck, however, afraid to break free. Eventually they do, and shortly thereafter they announce: 鈥淲hy did I wait? Everything is better now.鈥�
Our relationship with first-past-the-post is like that. What started as a promise between the government and the public has eroded to the point where we say: 鈥淟et鈥檚 move on.鈥� Some feel nervous about the change and what lies ahead when our structure changes. Many of those in power, like someone in a bad affair, create stories to keep things as is. Who wants to get out of a comfy chair and clean house? It鈥檚 work!
It is our duty to look after Beautiful sa国际传媒 Like a parent who wants the best for their children, it is time we take responsibility for our relationship with our government, to protect and nurture our province. Hope is on the horizon when we say 鈥測es鈥� to proportional representation.
Better balance in our home means a brighter future for all. Let鈥檚 make the change.
